Farm Fence

Farm Fence is a fence system specially customized for farms. It is designed to enclose farmland boundaries and livestock pens, effectively prevent wild animal intrusion, livestock escape and theft, and ensure the safety and order of farm operations. Its diverse designs (such as mesh and railing) adapt to different terrains and animal habits. It is both practical and beautiful, and is a key facility for farm management and animal protection.

Introduction

Farm fencing is also a kind of popular fence for fields or agriculture, also called farm fence or grassland fence, deer fence. It is woven by high tensile hot dipped galvanized with zinc coating above 200g/m2. It is a type of very economical fence for the farm, orchard, fields, grasslands, forest zone …etc. The formation of the field fencing is automatic twist plait by the line wire and the cross wire. So the fencing mesh is knotted. And the spacing between the line wire is different, smaller spacing in the bottom of mesh panel, then the spacing become much more bigger than the the bottom one. To design like that is to protect the little rodents or animals from getting through.

Farm fence can be woven with different types of knots: fixed knots, hinge joint knots or other custom patterns.

Hinge joint fence is a kind of fence, whose top and bottom wires are made of 2.5mm diameter wire, and the tensile strength is greater than or equal to 710N/mm2. The other wires are made of 1.9mm diameter wire, and the tensile strength is 440-540N/mm2.

Fixed knot fencing is a kind of fencing, usually made of high-strength galvanized steel wire. The wire is knitted into a grid-like structure through a special knitting machine, and then fixed and supported by a steel frame. It is widely used in stadiums, squares, playgrounds, amusement parks and other places.

Advantage

· Protecting livestock: Fences can keep livestock safe from predators and away from roads.

· Protecting crops: Fences can prevent animals from eating or trampling crops.

· Managing grazing: Fences can divide land into smaller grazing areas, which can help prevent overgrazing and maintain healthy vegetation.

Main Functions

Key Feature

· Wire gauge: The thickness of the wire, with smaller numbers indicating heavier wire. Field fences typically use 12-gauge wire, but the top and bottom may be made of heavier 10-gauge wire for extra strength.

· Pullout spacing: The distance between vertical stays, with closer spacing making the fence more rigid.

· Height: Different heights can accommodate different types of animals.

· Roll strength and durability: Low carbon steel and high tensile steel are both good options.

Purpose

1. Livestock Containment

Keeping Livestock Secure: Prevents livestock such as cattle, sheep, goats, and horses from wandering off the property.
Separation of Animals: Helps separate different types of livestock or groups to prevent overgrazing or breeding control.

2. Protection of Crops

Prevent Wildlife Damage: Keeps out wild animals like deer, rabbits, or wild boars that may damage crops.
Boundary Marker: Marks the edges of fields and crop areas, minimizing accidental entry or vehicle damage.

3. Enhancing Property Security

Deterrent to Intruders: Provides a physical barrier to prevent unauthorized access to the farm or property.
Safeguarding Equipment: Helps secure farm equipment, tools, and other valuable outdoor assets.

4. Creating Boundaries

Property Division: Clearly defines property lines to avoid disputes with neighbors.
Field Organization: Divides large fields into smaller paddocks for rotational grazing or crop planning.

5. Animal Protection

Preventing Predators: Protects livestock from predators such as coyotes, foxes, or stray dogs.
Safe Environment: Reduces the risk of animals getting lost or injured by wandering into dangerous areas.

6. Facilitating Farm Management

Controlled Grazing: Enables rotational grazing practices to optimize pasture use and promote regrowth.
Ease of Handling: It makes moving livestock between areas such as grazing fields, shelters, and watering points easier.

7. Supporting Specialized Farming Needs

Electric Fencing for Livestock Training: Teaches livestock to respect boundaries through mild electric shocks.
Temporary Fencing: Provides flexibility for seasonal needs such as temporary pastures or crop protection.

8. Enhancing Safety

Roadside Safety: Prevents livestock from wandering onto roads, reducing the risk of accidents.
Restricting Hazardous Areas: Keeps animals and unauthorized personnel away from potentially dangerous areas, such as ponds, ditches, or machinery.

9. Aesthetic and Property Value

Visual Appeal: Provides the farm with a neat and organized appearance, enhancing its visual appeal.
Increased Property Value: Well-maintained fences can boost the value of agricultural property by making it more functional and secure.

10. Sustainable Farming Practices

Erosion Control: Helps prevent soil erosion by keeping livestock off delicate areas.
Conservation: Protects environmentally sensitive areas such as wetlands, forested zones, or water sources.

11. Supporting Agricultural Regulations

Compliance with Laws: Many areas require fencing to meet legal standards for animal containment and property boundaries.

12. Flexibility for Various Applications

Multipurpose Use: Can be adapted for different farming needs, such as poultry enclosures, garden protection, or apiary boundaries.

Benefits

The benefits of farm fences are vast and integral to efficient farm management. They provide security, ensure the safety of livestock and crops, protect property boundaries, and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, farm fences offer flexibility, low maintenance, and cost-effectiveness, making them an essential tool for any agricultural operation. Whether for containment, protection, or property value, farm fences deliver practical and long-term advantages.

Application

  • Farm, Field fence has many widely range uses almost covering each corners in our lives. Field fences are mainly used for barriers in ranch construction, grazing and feeding of animals in agriculture farm and grassland fence;

Used for protection of natural environment.
