Canada Temporary Fence

Canada Temporary Fencing is an alternative to its permanent counterpart when a fence is required on a short-term basis such as for storage, public safety, crowd control, or theft deterrence.

Introduction

Canada Temporary fencing serves as a practical alternative to permanent fencing when a short-term solution is needed. It is commonly used for various purposes, including securing construction sites, enhancing public safety, managing crowd control during events, or preventing theft in areas with valuable assets. This type of fencing is easy to install and remove, making it an ideal choice for projects or events that require flexibility and mobility. Additionally, temporary fencing helps maintain order and safety in high-traffic areas while offering a cost-effective solution for situations where a permanent barrier would be unnecessary or impractical. Its versatility makes it a popular choice for businesses, event organizers, and property managers.

How to Use

Usage Instructions

Installation

Place fence bases about 10 feet apart, with the round pegs facing the direction of the fence. To install the panels, insert the square peg into the post first, then drag the panel back to the previous base and place it on the round peg.

Safety

Ensure the bases are flat on the ground to avoid tripping hazards. Use caps to connect panels at corners to prevent tripping.

Stability

Use wind braces to secure the fence to the ground in windy conditions. Wind braces attach to the fence panel frame and bolt into the ground. They are not recommended for soft terrain.

Accessories

Use delineators and rope or caution tape to create a high-visibility barrier. Delineators are inexpensive and can be used to manage traffic around a construction zone

Cautions for Use

The ground along the fence line should drain well by ensuring the ground slopes away from the bottom of the fence. This area should be properly maintained as vegetation such as plants and shrubs can hide attackers. A surface that resists plants establishing themselves is ideal. The ground on either side of a fence without an anti-tunneling barrier should have compacted gravel to a depth of 300mm and extending at least 900mm on either side. This should eliminate the possibility of erosion or heaving of the fence and posts and prevent gaps from developing under the fencing. This is especially important where the fence fabric cannot be buried due to environmental conditions.
